Andermatt Swiss Alps AG and Coop are pleased to announce the opening of a new Coop store in Andermatt Reuss. The corresponding agreement was recently signed. The opening is scheduled for early December 2026.

With the new Coop store, Andermatt Reuss will gain a centrally located retail offering for everyday needs, accessible to both residents and visitors. The new store will further enhance the attractiveness of this growing year-round district and complement its existing infrastructure. “With Coop, we are gaining a strong and reliable partner for local retail services. This is an important step in the continued development of Andermatt Reuss,” says Raphael Krucker, CEO of Andermatt Swiss Alps AG.

Coop also sees strong potential in the Andermatt location:

The Coop supermarket will offer a modern and efficient shopping experience across approximately 360 m², tailored to the needs of a diverse customer base. Whether for a quick stop or a full weekly shop, the store will cover all daily essentials – from freshly baked bread available until closing time to organic eggs and milk, as well as a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. A strong focus will be placed on Swiss products, reflecting quality and regionality. Convenient underground parking, with lift access directly to the store, will further enhance the shopping experience.
