The four-star superior hotel in Andermatt radiates cosiness, thanks to the local materials and natural wood floors. We treat our resources responsibly, which shows that we put a high value on sustainability.

Fresh Air. For a Good Atmosphere
The Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen was built in line with the low-energy standard. We use a fresh-air system for all rooms. Temperature is controlled by radiant flooring – without air conditioning. The Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen is heated entirely with carbon-neutral district heating . The wood chips are sourced from the canton of Uri and from a sawmill in Airolo, meaning a transport distance of less than 50 kilometres. We obtain all power from hydroelectric stations and wind turbines in the Gotthard region.

Employees
Every Meeting. Environmentally Neutral
The Radisson Hotel Group offsets the carbon footprint of every meeting or event held at one of our hotels worldwide – at no charge to customers. Offsetting takes place in partnership with First Climate, and all supported projects are certified by the Gold Standard or Verified Carbon Standard.

Our laundry is washed by Wäscherei Heinzmann AG . We send some of the laundry by rail to nearby Raron.

We Do a Lot.
With waste
We separate all waste and recycle it whenever possible. Food waste is collected separately and does not end up in the rubbish bin. Where possible, we purchase our food locally and in reusable containers in order to avoid packaging and plastic. Electricity is generated from green waste and grease traps material. We coordinate disposal with the nearby The Chedi Andermatt in order to reduce driving distances and optimise loads.

Fair. To Employees
The employees of the Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen have fair wages, contemporary employment terms in line with the market, and social insurance. People of all age groups and genders enjoy equal rights.
Training. For the Future
The Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen employs more than 100 people during high season and is a training operation for cooks and restaurant and hotel managers. It also offers internship and training positions in the areas of food and beverage, reception, front office, service, kitchen and communication.
