James began his career in investment banking, where he worked for several international banks in both London and Frankfurt for almost a decade.
He subsequently has held Board-level roles in Switzerland, Germany and the Middle East, where he led extensive transformation programmes within the hospitality sector.
Since 1 January 2026, James Lamb has been CEO Hospitality of Andermatt Swiss Alps AG. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of all hospitality activities across the group.
With the establishment of a dedicated hospitality business unit, he brings together all guest-facing touchpoints—across hotels, gastronomy, retail, and sports—under one unified leadership. The aim is to create a holistic 360-degree guest experience at the highest level and position Andermatt as the leading Prime Alpine destination.
In his free time, James enjoys spending time with his family in the mountains and finds balance through sports and reading.
