Sustainability is a central component of our corporate strategy. In this key position, you will play a leading role in the further development and implementation of our ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy at Andermatt Swiss Alps. The role reports directly to the CEO of Andermatt Swiss Alps and liaise functionally with the Group Head of ESG of Orascom Development Holding (ODH) and with the ESG Board Member of Andermatt Swiss Alps. You will design effective ESG programmes and ensure their successful implementation and will be directly responsible for driving sustainable initiatives.

Your contribution to our success

  • Direct Responsibility for implementing the Andermatt Swiss Alps (ASA) Group's ESG strategy
  • In collaboration with relevant partners, coordination of all sustainability-related tasks and initiatives for the ASA Group, including carbon footprint
  • In collaboration with the Orascom Development Holding Group, development of an internal and external ESG communication strategy for the ASA Group, including media relations, social media, website and reports
  • Support to department managers and functional experts across ASA Group in integrating ESG initiatives
  • Operational support to the ASA Group ESG Board Member in the preparation of board meetings on ESG related matters
  • Design and preparation of the annual progress report based on current ESG standards
  • Representation at selected events and network meetings on sustainability issues
  • Joint responsibility for various compliance instruments such as code of conduct, whistleblowing, supply chain monitoring, etc.
  • Participation in group-wide ESG projects within the Orascom Group
  • Member of the ASA extended leadership team

What you bring in

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, economics or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ESG/sustainability/corporate responsibility
  • Good knowledge of relevant ESG standards (e.g. GRI, CSRD) and current regulatory developments
  • Experience in managing ESG reporting, stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance
  • Strong analytical and communication skills as well as experience in project management
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English (C1/C2) are an absolute must
  • Team-oriented, independent and structured way of working, able to combine mid to long term strategic thinking and hands on approach
  • Work location: 2 days per week in Andermatt; Homeoffice possible on the remaining days

Who we are

Andermatt Swiss Alps, located in Andermatt, plans, builds and develops the year-round destination of Andermatt, with apartment buildings, hotels and villas in Andermatt Reuss.
